About the role
 
The role of an Electrical Tester/TEGG Technician is to Provide predictive, proactive and preventive test technologies, Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install electrical systems and related equipment as assigned. Assume day-to-day coordination of specific agreements or DES work, to assure contractual commitments are met in a timely, cost-effective manner.

Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm 
Location: On Site – Greenwich/Canary Wharf
Salary: DOE

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation
  • Understand electrical systems, appropriate codes and industry standards. 
  • Ensure that permits are secured where applicable. Provide design input as requested.
  • Manage personal time to maximise productivity. Demonstrate capability of handling a heavy workload of calls.
  • Full UK Driving license and own transport (travel expenses provided)
  • Ability to comprehend and understand access of specific software programs as needed

Responsibilities

  • Upon receiving a Customer/Client complaint on a product, follow systematic questioning techniques and relate answers to the functioning of the systems. 
  • Follow point-by-point troubleshooting guides to find equipment faults in a short period of time. 
  • Complete full system checks and analysis before leaving the job. 
  • Check safety and limit controls for proper settings. 
  • Use proper tools and instruments for troubleshooting. 
  • Use expert Troubleshooting knowledge to assist other Certified TEGG Electricians/Technicians in solving problems.
  • Adhere to a planned call schedule.
  • Complete a Service Report prior to leaving the jobsite
