We were recently commissioned by CBRE to replace the illuminated signage at the top of the Citi Bank Canary Wharf building.
The project covered the signage on all 4 aspects of the building and required the replacement of distribution boards and installation of IP-rated enclosures to allow for the new electrical supplies. Additionally, the specification required the strip-out of the existing lighting control system and installation of a new one, with cabling to the signage framework.
New LED nodes were installed within the existing sign framework, along with replacement sign cover material to the frame. Specialist abseiling contractors were used for exterior aspects with comprehensive safety precautions and daily risk assessments. There were some delays to the programme due to adverse weather conditions, but safety had to take precedence and the client was more than happy to accept these small delays.
The work was completed over a 14 week period, to the complete satisfaction of the client and an additional step towards their energy efficiency drive.
