2025 - 40th Year Celebrations
The company celebrates 40 years in business with the Senior Management Team also celebrating 250 years of combined service over the same period.
2024 - City of London Office Opens
New office location opened in the City of London to support customers in the heart of London.
2024 - Critical Power Division Launches
Mark Turner joins to start Team CPS and provide full HV/LV maintenance services.
2024 - Northern Office Move
Northern team moves offices to support the expansion of the team and provide better working environment.
2023 - Commissioning Management Team Launched
GML establish internal Commissioning Management team to support our MEP project delivery and ensure smooth handover to clients.
2023 - Graham Halls Steps In To MD Role
Graham Halls steps in to MD role, with Maurice Exall and Rob Warner taking up Non-Executive roles as new Board of Directors is formed.
2022 - Global Project Delivery
GML deliver a global project across 14 countries for a blue chip client.
2021 - EOT Formed
Employee Ownership Trust Founded.
2021 - Consultancy Department Launches
Mark Spinks joins to head up a new Consultancy department, providing support to clients across all MEP services.
2020 - Dutiful Platform Launches
Company invests in bespoke software, creating the Evolution of Infinity platform to Dutiful compliance system.
2019 - Warrington Office Opens
Our first office outside of London opened in Warrington to support the North West of England.
2018 - 1000 Top Companies To Inspire Britain
Metropolitan named in London Stock Exchanges ‘Top 1000 companies to inspire Britain’.
2017 - Cannons Office Opened
Cannons Office opened to provide an improved service to our Canary Wharf clients and support continued growth.
2017 - Launched Team Fit Out
Launched Team Fit Out to create a full turnkey delivery solution.
2016 - First £10m+ Project
First £10m+ Project delivering a large infrastructure project on Canary Wharf
2015 - 30 Years
Metropolitan celebrates 30th year in business
2015 - Launched Team BMS
Launched Team BMS to compliment the Mechanical department in building control strategies.
2013 - Launched Team Mechanical
Launched Team Mechanical to enable M&E support to our client base.
2012 - Secure Our First BAU Contract In The City Of London
Secure out first BAU contract in the City of London, for one of Asia’s largest investment banks.
2009 - Launch Solar Division
Launched Team Solar PV to support the governments green investment.
2007 - New MD Appointed
Rob Warner is officially apppointed as Managing Director
2007 - Infinity Platform
Launched ‘Infinity’, our new Testing and Document storage portal.
2006 - TEGG Launches
Launched Team TEGG and sent operatives to America for training.
2005 - 20 Year Anniversary
Company celebrates a successful 20 years in business

Secure our third large BAU contract for one of America’s largest investment banks on Canary Wharf
2000 - Apprentice Scheme
The company commit to having 10% of its workforce as apprentices.
1998 - Greenwich Relocation
Office relocated to our current HQ in Greenwich due to company growth.
1998 - Secure Our Second Large BAU Contract
Secure our second large BAU contract on Canary Wharf for a European Investment Bank. First £5m+ project fitting out a gymnasium, auditorium and fine dining spaces for a blue chip client
1997 - Secure First Large BAU Contract
Metropolitan secure its first large BAU contract with one of the UKs largest financial institutions.
1995 - 10 Year Anniversary
The company reaches its first decade in business.
1990 - Reached 10 Full Time Employees
Company expansion means that a total payroll of 10 employees is reached.
1988 - New Offices
Metropolitan opens first official office space in Charlton
1986 - Rob Warner Joins The Business
